Choose Promotional Products that Say Something about You

 

Many businesses - and even entrepreneurial individuals - make use of promotional products to spread the word about their work. Promotional items can be a terrific way to give something to potential new customers that will make them want to begin working with you. However, for these items to be effective, they really need to be specific to your business.

Common items, such as promotional pens with the company’s name on them, are just too standard to get anyone’s interest (or money). Because of that, they end up being a waste of company funds more often than they bring business to the company. In contrast, unique items that really catch people’s eyes will stand out and assist them in remembering to visit you or your website.

Products that resemble the business’s purpose are the best bet. For example, a sports supply store might give away small soccer balls imprinted with the company’s web address. Cute connections work as well such as when a business gives out a small clock that says something like, "we have the knowledge to save you time". Pens are boring; think outside that box!

If you can’t come up with anything cute, go with something like candy in promotional wrappers; no one dislikes a business that gives away candy!
