Hung Up On the Pages

Customers will be able to easily navigate a website when they want to delve deeper into the information offered. Customers are getting more sophisticated all the time and know the first page on the site is the “grabber” page that is meant to entice them into doing some real shopping. It will contain the highlights of the most valuable information, but when ready to look at the details of shopping, the best ecommerce sites will make shopping easy. One of the most frustrating things that can happen to a shopper is finding the web pages are hung up or just don’t want to go easily from page to page.

If an online shopping cart is too difficult to navigate the web site visitor will give up trying. It is really that simple. Designing the navigation scheme to include all of the functions needed to make the online shopping experience pleasant and productive requires a well designed ecommerce storefront. The site user must be able to comfortably go forwards and backwards through the site while shopping, but in the end know their online shopping cart will contain exactly what it is suppose to contain. It is amazing how many websites are poorly constructed and lose customers as a result.
