Businesses need paper shredders — it’s that simple.  With all the sensitive documents you print and throw away every day, you need a way to protect your information — and your customers’.

Personally, I prefer a Fellowes shredder.  The typical home paper shredders just aren’t powerful enough for business use — sometimes they’re not even powerful enough for personal use, in my opinion!  Fellowes shredders are really heavy duty machines that are made to prevent paper jams — a feature that I absolutely love.

I remember once shredding a bunch of stuff for an employer of mine.  She only had one of those older home shredders.  It was slow and you could only feed it a few sheets at a time.  I don’t even know how many times that thing got jammed, and I had to pry the paper back out of it and start again.  Once the motor even overheated and stopped working!  I had to go do some other task for a while and wait for it to cool down so that I could go back to shredding.

Identity theft is a real problem, so make sure you get a shredder that is up to the task of shredding all your sensitive documents.  I personally can’t think of a better one for the job than a Fellowes!
