Two-Year vs. Four-Year Golf Schools

You probably feel a sense of relief now that you’ve decided that golf schools are the right way to complete your college education. There is a lot of pressure taken off of you once you’ve determined what your college focus of study is going to be. However, you’re not done making decisions yet. You need to make sure to choose the right golf program that will help you get the golf job you seek after you graduate.

The first major decision to be made is whether you want to go to a two-year school or a four-year school for your degree. This decision will be based on cost, programs, college interests and the kind of golf professional you want to be. For example, a two-year school will generally cost less and will get you out working in the industry more quickly. In contrast, you’ll pay more out-of-pocket for a four-year school but may be able to secure a higher-paying job upon graduation.

A major difference to keep in mind is the college experience available at each type of school. The four-year program is usually affiliated with a major college or university which means that you’ll get the complete college experience. The two-year program may be more focused and is better-suited to students who aren’t seeking the traditional "college years" part of life. Either type of education can be the path to success; you just need to make some decisions about what kind of path best meets your needs.
