Kids these days

I have been talking to a friend of mine recently about setting up a website. It is something I have wanted to do for a long time, I think they taught us how to do a website a long time ago, back when I was in high school, but the internet was still a new thing then and they did not teach us anything that any fifth grader these days could not teach us in about fifteen minutes what the teachers then took us an entire semester or year to teach us.
When I told my neighbor’s kid that I was thinking about doing a site, you should have heard him start spouting out the things I should do and have on it. He said it should have a vb storefront and a dotnetnuke shopping cart and it should be flash and I stopped him there and told him I did not have a clue what he was talking about. He looked at me funny and said if I know what a .net shopping cart is then obviously I know what the rest is. To be honest I did not feel like furthering the conversation any more with a ten-year-old, so I just nodded and went home.
